Thanks for the encouragement.

As an on call I can only work up to 1000 hours until they're supposed to pay benefits aka become a full time employee.. And it's incredibly difficult to get that to happen. The good news is that despite there being a hiring freeze church-wide, the AV department is the occasional exception. (I don't know how I feel about a full-time job here but I like to keep my options open. Obviously my longterm professional priorities are elsewhere, but I am getting exceedingly accustomed to having a steady income.) Good news is that I was told today that it's likely I'll be getting more than 1000 due to the fact that I'm the primary editor for this project that is scheduled to go into at least October, and I expect my hours to officially expire some time in September. Time, of course, will tell.
